March 8-12 Lesson Plans

This week we will learn Girl, Boy, and Sun in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will learn Head, Mouth, Ears, Eyes, and Nose. We will be playing a game in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms in which I will say, "If you are a chica," or "If you are a chico," and then an action. The children will then have to do whatever action I say, depending on if they are a boy or girl. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will be playing a game about our faces. I will say something like, "touch your nariz," or "wiggle your orejas," and the children will have to do it. We will also be decorating faces. We will be splitting up into groups and each group will get a bag that includes a head, some ears, eyes, noses, and mouths. The children will then get to create a crazy face and share it with the class.

Sun- Sol= Soul**

Head- Cabeza= Cah-base-uh*

Nose- Nariz= Nah-riz*

Mouth- Boca= Bow-cah*

Ears- Orejas= Or-ay-has*

March 1-5 Lesson Plans

This week we will learn Grandmother, Grandfather, and Moon in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will learn  Sun, Moon, Good Morning, and Good Night. We will be playing a game in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms in which the children will be throwing a bean bag at pictures of family members. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will be reading   Good Night Moon. We will also be playing a game with the sun, moon, good morning, and good night. Each word will have a different action and the children will have to do that action when the word is said. Sol will mean to jump, luna will mean to crawl, buenos dias will mean to dance and buenos noches will mean to go to sleep.

Grandfather- Abuelo= Uh-bway-low**

Grandmother- Abuela= Uh-bway-luh**

Moon- Luna= Loon-uh

Sun- Sol= Soul*

Good Morning- Buenos Dias= Bway-nose Dee-as*

February 22-26 Lesson Plans

This week we will learn Sister and Brother in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will learn Grandfather, Grandmother, Family and Twenty. We will be playing a game in which the children will get the chance to roll dice with pictures of family members on them. Whatever picture comes up when they roll will be the word they have to say. We will be playing this game in all rooms. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will also be playing a game in which they children will have to throw a bean bag onto pictures of family members.

February 15-19 Lesson Plans

This week we will learn Mother, Father, and Apple in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will learn the same as well as Sister, Brother, and Nineteen. We will be "bobbing for apples" in the Giraffe, Tiger, Gator, and Panda rooms as we continue to practice our colors. In the Flamingo, Frog, Monkey, and Penguin rooms we will be playing Mommy Says, which is just like Simon says only using Mommy. We will also be looking at pictures and identifying the mom, dad, sister, and brother.
